Our God writes the most beautiful stories... ... Our God writes the most beautiful stories...

... and I'm so very thankful He wrote this man into mine.

Over the past year, I've seen God's goodness and provision and grace displayed so prominently through Matthew. He truly has been a "gift from God" to me. Through him, I've been drawn closer to Christ, become more aware of the beauty of Jesus, and grown to love God's Word even more.

He's the godliest man I know. He loves me tenderly, cares for me sweetly, protects me fiercely, leads me faithfully, prays for me daily, sacrifices for me regularly, and always points me to Jesus.

He's my best friend and dearest love and I am oh, so thankful + blessed + excited to become his wife and journey together through life by his side.

Because I absolutely said "Of course!"

Hey, friends! I have an action step and a prayer r Hey, friends! I have an action step and a prayer request to share today.

Many of y'all know that I'm a Michigan girl. In eight days, Michigan will come to a pivotal fork in the road called Proposal 3.

Proposal 3 is advertised as as reproductive freedom for all...but there are horrifying realites behind those words.

If passed, Proposal 3 would have devastating consequences for Michigan. It would:

-Remove the requirement for parental consent before an abortion AND parental consent over any medical treatment related to pregnancy, including sterilizations and hormone therapy.
-Remove all late term abortion bans.
-Eliminate the requirement that only a doctor can peforms an abortion and remove all health and safety guidelines for abortion facilities.
-Remove Michigan's current 1931 abortion ban.
-Remove conscience protection for those who don't want to perform abortions.
-Invalidate any and all Michigan laws that contradict Proposal 3.
- Become cemented in the very constitution of Michigan.

In short? It would make Michigan the most radical abortion state in the country.

This radical, extreme, and poorly worded proposal needs to be stopped.

What can you do?

If you're a voter in Michigan, vote NO on Proposal 3 on November 8 and tell your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers... everyone you know, to vote NO as well.

If you're not a Michigan resident or you can't vote yet, please pray that Proposal 3 would not pass and that the unborn children of Michigan would be protected. Tell anyone you know in Michigan about the dangers of Proposal 3 and share this post to get the word out.

I don't usually share political content on my social media, but Proposal 3 is not just a political issue. It's a devastation of basic morality.

Please join me in prayer for God's mercy during this election, not only on Michigan but in every state where such decisions will be made. And join me in taking action by spreading the word and if you can, voting for life.

In my last post, I talked about why a desire to be In my last post, I talked about why a desire to be a wife and mother is not "less than", but a beautiful and worthy calling.

But you can't talk about why motherhood has been denigrated in culture without talking about the other side of the coin--the lack of strong, godly, masculine men and how men abdicating their responsibilities as husbands and fathers has impacted our society and generation.

I remember being around six years old, standing in I remember being around six years old, standing in the middle of a family gathering of distant relatives, hearing them laugh when I said that all I wanted to be when I grew up was "a mommy."

"Why is that funny?" I thought. "What's wrong with that?"

I wouldn't have said it then, but what I felt was shame. My dream wasn't big enough, good enough, impressive enough. I've heard it over and over again as I grew up. I've been told that, "Being a writer is a big step up from just wanting to be a wife and mom."

How wrong is that?

What I now know is that six-year-old Sara was simply feeling the effects of a far-reaching cultural lie. The breakdown of the family unit in our society has deep consequences, the degrading perspective of the calling of motherhood being only one.

How has this happened? How has one of the greatest callings God gave exclusively to women now become the one life dream that makes a girl blush? That causes her to feel "less than" and unimportant?

In a society that says men can be women, women can be men, children are disposable it's only natural that motherhood and fatherhood should become roles that are despised and rejected.

And yet, these roles are a part of God's amazing design. As followers of God, it's our calling to boldly and fearlessly live out His design in the midst of an antagonistic society.

Motherhood is not a lesser calling. There is no "just" about wanting to be a wife and mother.

I'm writing this as an unmarried girl who has never had children. But it's still the desire of my heart and it's a calling I refuse to believe girls should be ashamed of.

Not everyone is called to be married and have children. But instead of allowing culture to inform our perspective and elevate career, success, and fame, we need to turn to the Word of God, allowing His purposes for life and family to enlighten our viewpoint and show us the stunning beauty of His design.

That design is nothing to laugh at.
Hey, what's up, y'all! I took an unintentional soc Hey, what's up, y'all! I took an unintentional social media break due to travel and sickness and just living life, but I'm back now!

When I came home from traveling the other day, I found the coolest package waiting for me: 5 copies of Love Riot translated into Italian. Seeing my books translated into other languages has been one of the most humbling parts of writing (and not just because I can't read a single word of 'em). I've always had a heart to share the gospel with the nations and reach those across the globe with the love of Jesus. Seeing my words going places my feet will likely never tread is beautiful and humbling and, I pray, glorifying to Jesus. Praying God uses this small book to ignite the hearts of young people across Italy to live sold out and committed to Jesus Christ. 🙏❤️

Now if someone can just tell me what it says, please and thank you. 😉
